Not bad for a debut novel, although I don't get how Jude could have gotten a "shiny silver scar down the center of his chest" in the end. To my understanding, he had never been struck in the chest in any way throughout the book, not by Jessica Price, Reese, Craddock or Jude's dad possessed by Craddock. Anyone?

Denise Jude had bypass surgery. It was a single sentence comment near the end of the book.

Why is this named after a Nirvana song?

Cindi Because the suit that he orders comes in a heart shaped box. Also, there are a lot of references to rock music and musicians within the novel.

I'm obsessed with Locke & Key, but I haven't actually read a novel by Joe Hill, I suppose my question would be: Is this book worth the time?

Please, I read somewhere that there is animal death on this book. This is a big trigger for me. If is true is it too drawn out and/or graphic? Is there Animal cruelty?
