I listed to David Christian's "Big History" lecture series and loved it. I often want to refer back to parts of it and re-read it. This book seems significantly abridged compared to the lecture series. Is there a different version I can look for?

How accurate is this book factually? Does it serve as a good introduction to the concept of "Big History" author talks about?

I saw David Christian promoting this book on TED talks. He started by showing a scrambled egg being beaten with an spoon. Then through running the video in reverse, the yolks appeared, then the egg 'stuff' went back up into the egg. He said "(paraphrased). Isn't this just like the history of the universe? Going from scrambled egg chaos, to order?"
