Does anybody know what chapters of "An Echo in the Bone" this novella refers to? I'm keen to read those parts, but don't have time to reread the entire book.

What does 8.5 refer to in the title? The Lord John Grey books also have fractional numbering. Should these be taken literally as a subset?

The John Grey books have a separate numbering, so you'll have to look at when books from both series were published if you intend to read them both at once (you should, as they tie in into each other and you might be spoiled otherwise.)(less)
