Why don't the Silos have elevators? It seems rather inconvenient navigating a 100+ floor city without elevators. I did a search on the Kindle edition of this book, and the word "elevator" doesn't appear. Is there something I missed?

Is there a clock and calendar in the IT server room? I'm wondering how Solo knew 34 years had passed since Silo 17's uprising. Near the end he also mentioned it being 2AM on Friday... How does he know that?

Heather I assume the computers have dates and times on them like ours do.

I was reading it at night before bed, and about halfway through it definitely got harder to put down at chapter end. You may have stalled out just before things accelerated. I'd say if you got a few chapters past the place where the plot pivots (don't want to give anything away) and you still stalled out, it's not for you.(less)

I finished Wool, Silo #1, so the collected version of that Wool name. I'm not gonna read further, but I have a big question from the beginning not answered yet. Allison said the uprisings use to happen regularly, but supposedly something happened to prevent them from happening often. What happened?

I think this book is awful, I had to stop half 3/4 way through. So many things that make no sense. I also found the relationships between characters very strange and unconvincing. Anyone else?
