Once we got to the ‘juicy bit’, it came and went very quickly, which seems typical of some of SK’s early work. (less)

I myself have a 12 year old brother, and I would be immensely uncomfortable with him reading this collection. There is gory violence (Survivor Type comes to mind), very strong but not constant language (particularly in The Mist), some sexual content (only really notable in The Raft), and some honestly pretty spooky stories, particularly in The Jaunt. If you're comfortable with that though, you cant really do better than Stephen King.(less)
