I'm trying, but I can't get through this book. I thought it would be interesting because the synopsis screamed "READ ME!" Sadly, I have no patience with the plot and I can't keep up with the characters. The individual stories have great potential, but the execution was quite a let down. Does anyone think it's worth it to finish the book? I feel like I shouldn't give up on it if there's hope for the remainder of it.

How on earth will someone who plans a robbery with carnage included in so much detail wear a pair of very distinctive and recognizable shoes and keep wearing them afterwards??. Who might feel like reading a second Niceville book after the first one?.

I just started reading Niceville, and I was wondering if anybody knew upon what locale the author based this book? I've been reading a lot of John Sandford novels lately, and he uses real towns and cities, and just sometimes changes the names. I like that, because I can go to Google maps and see real photos of the area, and that helps my imagination when reading the story.
