Overall, I think if you want a full understanding of what is going on, a bit of googling can help while reading. If you don't feel like it, however, the story itself is basically understandable. Just insert 'does baseball things' in the jargon sections.(less)

I know …moreYes, this is a great book for any sports enthusiast and you don’t need to know too much about baseball to understand the concept of the story. I know very little about baseball but thoroughly enjoyed it and a good insight into how the Oakland A’s changed the way teams picked/drafted players using stats. Very much recommend. Hope this helps!
