this book is ok?

Ramon, a boy of 16 years old, finally is of age to fulfill his life long dream and work with his father in the pearl harboring business but alongside that comes things Ramon had to go behind his father's back to get. How else do you think he found the pearl? Though I am not that far in, the book kind of loos promising and I hope it gets interesting as I progress through the story.
