Do I need to read this series in order or can I just read the stories about Elena and Clay?

It worked although it was quite clear that I missed some events and …moreI just skipped from book 2 to 6 since I only wanted to read about Clay and Elena. It worked although it was quite clear that I missed some events and characters’ introduction or relationship development in the previous books that they sometimes referred to. However it didn’t really affect my understanding of the plot etc. and I could enjoy Elena and Clay just as I wanted. I’m going to try and jump to the next Elena and Clay book which is book 10 and see if that works. (less)
