Listening to this book I am astounded at the unending mispronunciation of words throughout. And not just proper- and place names, though I’ll admit hearing the town names in the Willamette valley (where I live) mangled is especially jarring. Narrator didn’t even try wikipedia. Is he not from around here? Then too, I’ve never heard Danube pronounced ‘da-NOOB’, nor Agincourt as ‘AG-in-court’, etc. who vets narrations?
