why did you call it before green gables?

Suzanne It is the story of Anne’s life before she arrived at Green Gables.

I would like to know where I could get a copy. Does anyone know where I could find one?

I'm a bit wary of this book because it's by a different author. Does it follow completely different writing techniques (does the writing sound different) or is it like the other books??

Thomas it is the writers own style but I personally felt it fit well with the previous Anne books.

Is the woman Jessie Gleeson in this book (she was friend and neighbor to Anne's parents), supposed to be the same woman who Anne met when she and her friend Philippa visited Anne's birthplace in the novel "Anne of the Island"?

Thomas I doubt it because she seems somewhat younger. Also Jessie sees Anne grow up to be older, whereas the old woman is sure the Shirley baby died.

Umm I haven't read this book yet. And I'm hoping it's good. I've read the one after but not this one should I read?
