Is this one of the books that'll get you (as a reader) depressed? I'm sort of interested and I'm willing to give it a go, but.. I really don't want to be depressed

There were points, where, I had to put the book down, just to breathe a little and realize, it's only a book. It's scary, because maybe this will be our future. Many teenagers are committing suicide every year, but I doubt The Program would ever work in our society. Just remember while reading, it is just a book, with fictional stories, and fictional characters.(less)

The series is arranged so 1&2 are the same story and 3&4 and 5&6 are sets that take place in the same place. Although I recommend reading the books 1,2,3,4,5,6, they technically happen 3,4,1,2,5,6.
