Janet I believe The Second Coming is the sequel to The Last Gentleman, not The Moviegoer.

Is it just me, or did other readers gets the sense that The Moviegoer, while full of fantastic insights and moments, fails as a novel because it's obviously mostly a cut-and-paste job of cool N.O. existential observations from Walker Percy's Walking Around Town journal?
