What Would Jon Snow Read? Book Recs for Your Favorite Game of Thrones Characters
"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge," Tyrion Lannister told Jon Snow in A Game of Thrones. "That's why I read so much."
Unfortunately for Tyrion—and for all the characters in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series—the publishing industry in the fantasy land of Westeros leaves a little to be desired. (Unless, of course, you're mostly into historical nonfiction and songs about maidens and/or bears). But what if Game of Thrones characters were on Goodreads today? Which books would they add to their to-read shelves?
Below we've gathered some book recommendation for Tyrion, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and more. Now it's your turn!

I created one for Yara/Asha Greyjoy: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...

Samantha wrote: "I want to know who's favorite character could possibly be Littlefinger..."I don't get it either. He's the only character left that I'm actively rooting for to die. I hate that little creep.
Hella wrote: "Jenna wrote: "Where is Cersei's list?"Waiting for her list too, she is my favourite character...
Long Live Queen Cersei!!!"
She's one of my favourite characters too! I love her.
Samhain wrote: "Those are spot on, especially Dany's "Men Explain Things To Me"! I was prepared to riot about Sansa's selection, but turns out whoever did this list has read the books and knows Sansa is so much mo..."Agreed! Sansa is actually one of my favourite characters and I think without reading the books it's hard to fully understand her because she is quite a quiet character and most of her thinking is done internally (rather than just saying everything she's thinking/feeling like many other characters do). She's also more reserved than other characters so I think on screen it's sometimes hard to know what to think of her but in the book you get her thought processes and it makes it easier to understand her better.
Jenna wrote: "Where is Cersei's list?"Cersei would be a member of a book club. They get together to drink wine, primarily. Books are just an excuse to get away from their husbands.
As mention by The Boring State Company the Game of Thrones is inspired and written by science fiction, writer George R.R Martin and the show is apparently one of the most deeply anticipated programs in the television history and watched by almost millions of people around the world.
