Order your to-read shelf!
We've made some improvements to the recently launched order your to-read shelf feature.
In addition to being able to move items up and down, you can now use the edit view to enter the exact number you'd like to reorder the list to! This interface has worked well for Netflix so we thought - why reinvent the wheel?
On a side note I think the ability to order my shelves (you can make any shelf orderable in 'edit shelves') is the coolest feature we've launched this year. From a usability perspective what was happening was that as people added more and more books to their to-read list it became so large as to be useless - people were being forced to make separate 'to-read-soon' lists. I believe the ordering will fix this issue - and set the stage for many other things!

Marco, the "read" shelf is the only shelf we can't order with numbers 1 to whatever. However, there's all sort of views with which you can view it.
Terima kasih buaanyaakk, Otis!!!
That's the Indonesian expression for Many many thanks :D

:)

2. Click on "to-read"
3. Click on "edit"
4. Click on "reorder shelf"
5. Reorder your shelf
6. Click the reorder button when you're done to save your changes

Plus I don't know how I would reorder my nearly 300 books! LOL

I read the title and misinterpreted what it means...
Which brings me to a suggestion (I'll also post it in the suggestions forum):
Why not have an "auto-delivery" mechanism that you can setup through Amazon? Like, you get the book off the top of your to-read shelf every specified interval (2 weeks, a month, etc.) auto-purchased through your Amazon account [they store your CC info already]...
That would *really* make it like Netflix's queue.

There's another way to get to that feature (that's the way I've been using it :)
1. Go to "my books"
2. Click on "to-read"
3. Click on "main" or "list" views
4. Place your cursor under the arrows in your order column. Two more options will pop up: 'move to top' and 'edit.' Click on edit.
5. Reorder your shelf
6. Click the reorder button when you're done to save your changes

Hi Nora, hope you are doing okay. Five years later, so not sure whether you will get this. Did you ever receive assistance with regard to your problem? I am trying to reorder my list and scrolling through the threads for assistance. This thread is the first one that I encountered, so will go through the others, so will appreciate it if you can assist please.

Hey I just found you need to go into Bookshelf edit and make the list sortable then you can change the numbers.
Hope this helps
