Goodreads Grows to 20 Million Readers
Big news today at Goodreads! We now have 20 million members, up from 10 million members just eleven months ago.
Seeing more and more readers on Goodreads is inspiring, but what's more important is what's happening as a result. One of the main reasons why Elizabeth and I founded Goodreads is because we believe in the power of books. We believe the ideas you find inside stories can truly change the world. We believe that books make the world a better place. It's why the Goodreads mission is to help readers everywhere find and share books they love. So, you can imagine how much it means to our team to get emails like this:
This is really just a fan letter to tell you how much I adore Goodreads and how much I appreciate its mission. I've been using it since 2007 and it's been integral in introducing me to books and authors that have changed my life (to be maybe a touch melodramatic). Anyway, that's all. Just wanted to thank you for creating it!

Congratulations! I joined January 2012! I love Goodreads! I really can't imagine not having this incredible website to go to find books! Many books that I have read recently, I have found through Goodreads. Several of which are my favorite. Personally, it's so much better than going to a bookstore. I get so overwhelmed when I'm there. I'm always there for such a limited time. I never have a chance to look at every book. Goodreads actually allows me in my free time to look at books & mark if I want to read them. I love how you are able to make a list of what books you want to read. That way I will always remember what books I have added and will always have a book to read :) THANK YOU!! :D

Congratulations. I am a huge lover of Goodreads. I use it for so many things including an inventory of my books. Perfect for when I'm at a sale and find a bargain I'm not sure I already have. Of course there are the groups, the reviews and the giveaways that I love as well. Thanks and if your looking to hire someone who can work from home in Texas, I'm interested!!!

I LOVE Good-reads!!! Ever since I found the site I read even more than before. Every year I have taken higher challenges and always surpassed them. This year I am already around 120 per cent of the challenge I had chosen. Reading makes my life better and therefore I try to share that happiness with Good-reads and all my friends and family. Thank you for being there!!!!

I wish this website had been around 40 years ago so I could be tracking all my books from childhood to present. Thank you for creating this website, helping me find new books and authors and connecting me with authors who I never would have been able to have private conversations with until now. It makes me want to read even more books. Books have always been an obsession for me but they are even more a part of my life.

Since joining goodreads.com in November 2010, the site has become my primary resource for selecting new books to read. I can't even remember the last time I invested my time and/or money on a book without checking it out on goodreads.com first.

I have found so many more books to read since joining and have got to actually communicate with a couple of my favorite authors here because they are members too.
