The Most Popular Romances of the Year (So Far)

Now that we've hit the midyear-ish mark (eek!), we're taking a look at all the great books published since January. We’ve gathered here the most popular romances on Goodreads from the first half of 2023. These are the titles generating the most interest from readers, as determined by reviews, ratings, and which individual books are winding up on members’ Want to Read and Read shelves.
This can be a good way to find leads on new books in circulation among your fellow Goodreaders. It’s also interesting just to see what other people are reading. Kind of like when you quickly scan the bookshelves at a new friend’s place. We’ve broken the list into subgenres this time around, grouping books around some of the usual-suspect classifications: contemporary, historical, paranormal…
One big trend we’re noticing: Sports-themed romances are Having a Moment, particularly those of the hockey persuasion. On that note, be sure to check out the latest in Emily Rath’s oeuvre, Pucking Around.
You’ll also find the latest from genre godmother Emily Henry, some late-night comedy love from author Curtis Sittenfeld, and Amy Lea’s nicely titled rom-com Exes and O’s. Scroll over the book cover titles below for more details about these hot romance novels. If anything tugs at your heart (or whatever relevant bodily organ), don’t forget your Want to Read shelf.

It is too unrealistic and boring now.
I am so tired of this and I would really appreciate some recommendations. I loved Liane Moriarty's The Hypnotist's Love Story.
Two books with overweight men are Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon and Ship Wrecked by Olivia Dade.
Are there any romances where the main characters are older; 60+? Don’t think I’ve ever come across that.

I don’t know how to respond to specific comment but Bryn, I believe Pumpkin by Julie Murphy had a plus size guy on the cover.
