New and Upcoming Books to Discover This Pride Month

Posted by Cybil on June 1, 2023

Happy Pride Month to all of our fellow readers!

This June we are highlighting new (and upcoming) books for adults by and about the wide-ranging LGBTQ+ community with, well, a wide-ranging list of 2023 books that span about every reading mood you can have, including twisty mysteries, far-out science fiction, beautiful literature, heartfelt memoirs, laugh-out-loud essay collections, and much more. (Oh, if you're yearning for some great romances, we have this list for you!) Of course, this is but a sampling of the fantastic LGBTQ+ books published this year, but we hope it will inspire you.

Scroll over the covers to learn more about each book, and be sure to add the books that pique your interest to your Want to Read shelf—and bookmark this list for reading well beyond the month of June!

if you hover over the title's cover, you can actually read their descriptions. Other than that, yeah, I do wish there was a way of knowing which books have aroace characters as the lead.

Sandra Scholes These are books I've never heard of, but would love to look up and get ready for a summer read

Robert Creekmore Prophet's Debt
Prophet's Lamentation

You can add my traditionally published novels to the list.

They're about a girl who is sent to conversion therapy in the remote Appalachians in the 90s, tortured, escapes and comes back for bloody revenge.

Rachel Such a great list, and many books added to my tbr! I would have loved to see more translated books, or more that arent set in the US. No shade to any of these books or authors, but I would love to read more books set outside of the US, and authors who dont write in English originally, and I havent seen any comments mention this. Still looking forward to reading some of these and glad this list exists :)

Why be rude to this man? He is clearly just trying to be supportive. Don't attack people for no reason.

Kristi Good these are the books not to read then

message 112: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Love that you highlight these books, but i am disappointed to see that no indie romance authors are given the spotlight.

You just have to hover your curser over the cover to see the summary, etc.. Maybe you're on the app? I imagine it's less functional. (I don't usually use it besides updating progress on a book.)

Shane Hill Yay....so is propaganda month almost over???
