Cuddle Up with 2022's Winter Holiday Romances

Posted by Sharon on November 15, 2022

The winter holiday season tends to be a busy one in the romance aisle. To assist you in finding your next hot read to warm up a cold night, we’ve compiled 2022’s romance books with holiday themes—mostly adult, but with a dash of YA.

Christmas settings abound this year, but enthusiasts of other winter holidays will find some love, too—check out Eight Nights of Flirting for a Hannukah happily-ever-after and The Rewind for a '90s New Year's Eve adventure.

Queer love also gets a day in the sun, with titles including Kiss Her Once for Me and the rom-com The Holiday Trap (think the 2006 Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz movie, but gayer). If you like your romances on the steamier side, consider A Merry Little Meet Cute and the gloriously titled novella collection Duke in a Box.

Scroll over the book cover images below for more details, and add anything interesting to your Want to Read shelf.

Because reading romance isn't the same when the characters don't share your same sexual preferences/genders? Picture the opposite of your own sexual identity and imagine it's the vast majority.

Or ppl could have a variety of reasons for their preferences. I have past sexual trauma that makes it hard for me to read romance books with female characters.

Kiss her once for me is queer, and i belive a few others are too. it's really just a lacking amount of people writing queer holiday romances over het ones.
