Books with Surprising Takes on the Seven Deadly Sins

Since lockdown days, many of us have given in to sin. Sloth, gluttony, and envy might have sufficed for vice during this time, but there's also been plenty of room for wrath, pride, lust, and greed—the seven deadly sins. So has it similarly been in the literary world.
This roundup of both fiction and non-fiction published during and since 2019 also have behaviors, plots, and people steeped in singular or several of the seven deadly sins. Though some of these are easily shelved (ahem, Mine!), we've been broad in considering others, be it getting too comfortable on vacation as in Rumaan Alam's latest novel, or finding it impossible to let go of things lost and found by your roommate mother, who happens to be a hoarder, in The Library of Lost Things.
But let's be honest, the details of these also are deliciously fun. Read the tale of a favorite Guncle forced to shed his slothful ways. It may be hard to look away when the lives of superstar siblings are undone by one little lie in the latest by The Devil Wears Prada author Lauren Weisberger. Or see what happens when Sarah Gailey's scientists, who have an unhealthy penchant for pride and perfection in The Echo Wife, go on a spouse-cloning spree with unintended consequences.
Scroll over the book covers to learn more about each novel, and be sure to add the books that pique your interest to your Want to Read shelf!

My exact thought!! LOL

*fun takes on mortal sin and casually endangering your soul*
Oh, uh, okay…
There are many more relevant non-fiction books to shelve under envy, but as it's nothing more than far left propaganda, I suppose it doesn't need any other reason to be on the list.
