Read it now Adela it's brilliant! One of the best sci-fi books of the last decade.

Be prepared to have your mind bent! Some of the time-jumpy aspects are pretty eye-crossing!
Why are they keeping Sci Fi & Fantasy together😣? Whatever I'm happy to see Sci-Fi get more attention.
Mystic wrote: "Why are they keeping Sci Fi & Fantasy together😣? Whatever I'm happy to see Sci-Fi get more attention."Why do they ALWAYS get grouped together? I mean they're totally different genres, one is about possible things and one about impossible things, right?
I guess so librarians don't have to worry about where to shelve the crossovers...
Ahh those damn librarians come on, get it together for ffs. I guess if it's a crossover then I suppose treating it as a fantasy would make more sense? I mean I could be wrong maybe the crossovers are a completely different genre.

Like Star Wars. And there's the problem of whether things like faster-than-light-travel and androids-with-consciousness are fantasy or "science"...
Azure Jade wrote: "Woah! Sci-fi and fantasy makes up the majority of my reading - I'm loving this😁"Hell yeah! It's about time this happened & these lists are looking really good!
Azure Jade wrote: "Woah! Sci-fi and fantasy makes up the majority of my reading - I'm loving this😁"Me too! This is just awesome and I can't wait to read all those books!
Azure Jade wrote: "Woah! Sci-fi and fantasy makes up the majority of my reading - I'm loving this😁"I've been looking for new books to read so this is perfect.
Yes! I’m so happy that it’s si-fi and fantasy week! They are literally all I read! (Has anyone here read the maze runner.)
i'm currently reading Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and once again I'm amazed by how creative and imaginative his mind is. Really enjoying it so far!
Izzy wrote: "Yes! I’m so happy that it’s si-fi and fantasy week! They are literally all I read! (Has anyone here read the maze runner.)"Yes! I've read The Maze Runner series. I really enjoyed the first two books( check out the review if you wish). But last book, The Death Cure was terrible!!!

Yeah Death Cure was very bad but still it made me cry in those final moments😔.
Yesss some love for my favorite genres! I'm on a sci-fi high, I've read Aurora Rising and can't wait for Aurora Burning, I've also recently read Brandon Sanderson's Starsight. I'm all for outer space and alien, starships and alien life!
Does anyone know if the C.S. Lewis series, Space Trilogy: Out of the Silent Planet / Perelandra / That Hideous Strength is ski-fi? I have yet to read them. Anyway, I know that The Chronicles of Narnia is fantasy, I love and highly recommend those!
Another fantasy series I like is Fairy Realm, starting with the first of the ten books, The Charm Bracelet. I also saw that The Hobbit, or There and Back Again and The Lord of the Rings are there too, I also recommend those.

Female authors like Le Guin inspired me to write SFF. Earthsea is brilliant.

Loving these lists. There are so many to chose from. My TBR just grew exponentially.
The Fantasy Hive are running a women in SFF month for the whole of July.
There are some decent giveaways on there too.
My own interview is 30 July with a chance to win a copy of Dagger Path.

Jay wrote: "Haven't read it, but it still baffles me that Handmaid is considered sci-fi."Haven't read it either, but it's definitely dystopian which I'd consider a subgenre of sci-fi. But the lines are often blurry when it comes to genres.
If you like fantasy, the SPFBO (self-published fantasy blog-off) contest is presently under way. I submitted my first novel and it should be reviewed shortly.
I really dislike Goodreads inclination to already promote popular books. I get that its an advertising site owned by amazon, but so many incredible books go unread because advertising algorithms are against them. Let me discover those hidden gems easily, instead of jumping between lists that share those small books
My genre!!! Yes! I am excited to get to so many books. 1. Three Body Problem
2. Lilith's Brood
3. Medusa Uploaded
4. Downbelow Station
5. Canticle for Liebowitz
and many, many more

Jessa wrote: "Currently reading A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin"Fabulous book; I’ve read (and loved) the whole series !
I'm currently reading Dune on my Kindle and listening to Children of Virtue and Vengeance on Audible.
Lisa wrote: "I will be continuing my Brandon Sanderson fix and reading Starsight."Yesss I just finished that! I love these books so much
75% of what I read is SFF. This week I happen to be reading Network Effect by Martha Wells, book 5 of the amazing Murderbot series.

I read this and liked it although I'm not a sci-fi fan I got hooked! now I'm waiting for book 2 almost out!
I've been wanting to read wings of fire I have the first five books and maybe 2020 is the year I should start them?

Totally going to read science fiction & fantasy! I am, in fact, reading some right now!Love this week, btw!
I feel very much like promoting Mother of Learning. I believe this is one of the most underknown young adult fantasy books of our time.
E.D. wrote: "If you like fantasy, the SPFBO (self-published fantasy blog-off) contest is presently under way. I submitted my first novel and it should be reviewed shortly."Good luck!
I'm currently reading Prince of Thorns, Child of Flame and Cloak of Shadows, all fantasy.
Currently reading 'Pulp Sci-Fi From The Rock', Engen Books. Very good collection of short stories, often from first-time writers, inspired by pulp-era tropes. Pulp Sci-Fi from the Rock
I just started The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan, part of The Wheel of Time series. It's wild so far.
