One book I plan on reading is The Lesser Dead by Christopher Buehlman.

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. I've been meaning to read it for a long time, and I think Halloween is the perfect time for it
City of Endless Night by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child...Agent Pendergast is always great for a creepy story
When I get time away from my massive Halloween decorating project:
and.......just because it seems appropriate to me.....
I think I will read Disappearance at Devil's Rock or any other novel by Paul Tremblay - they have been sitting on my bookshelf for ages, begging me to read them...

Brendan wrote: "I think I will read Disappearance at Devil's Rock or any other novel by Paul Tremblay - they have been sitting on my bookshelf for ages, begging me to read them..."His books are fantastic! I've read (ie listened to) Disappearance as well as A Head Full of Ghosts. Both were phenomenal.
Still working on Stephen King's Pet Sematary. I may also start Alan Moore's Swamp Thing run and reread some Poe.
Am currently reading The Thirteenth Tale by Dianne Setterfield. It is eerie... and am waiting for something to pop out and get me.
For audible members - the cast recording of Dracula is wonderfulhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Reading Hell House by Richard Matheson. I read horror all the time so luckily I have plenty of books at home to choose from. :)
I still remember Magic by William Goldman as being incredibly creepy. I may have to read it again to celebrate horror week!

It will not take a week to read the book I have been wanting to read! It is The Complete Fiction of H.P Lovecraft.
I spent most of summer going through the bibliography of Stephen King. I've been preparing for Halloween. Been thinking about a re-read of Goosebumps to indulge my childhood side. They were such fun little adventures.

awesome!
We Sold Our Souls by Grady Hendrix. I read My Best Friend’s Exorcism last year and it was fantastic!
I just read The October Game by Ray Bradbury. Fantastic short story. And I'm going to start reading IT.
Rosa-Fiona wrote: "House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. I've been meaning to read it for a long time, and I think Halloween is the perfect time for it"I envy you the chance to experience it for the first time. Truly one of the best books I've ever read. Just know going in that it's more of a post-modern/experimental literature book masquerading as a horror novel. I didn't really find it scary at all. Seems like some people did, but it's certainly not a traditional horror novel in any sense, and I don't think being scary is very high on the list of things the author was trying to accomplish when writing it.
I've got The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Other Stories by Washington Irving on my "to-read" list. I may have to read at least one of those stories for Halloween...
Rosa-Fiona wrote: "House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. I've been meaning to read it for a long time, and I think Halloween is the perfect time for it"It takes effort to read, but you'll be rewarded.
I'm in the middle of What October Brings: A Lovecraftian Celebration of Halloween but I've got a few more planned such as A Night in the Lonesome October.
probably going to be finishing Caroline Kepnes' "You"- work has kept me from sitting down to just read for a while now, but tomorrow is the day! I'll just throw a load in the washing machine, and not get up till the book is done, I swear.
Esposa hechiceraEn mis comienzos de lector, comencé a leer está novela, pero el terror pudo conmigo y no continué la lectura. Ahora pretendo leerla para la semana del terror :D
I am going to read the entire run of The Walking Dead comic book series. And maybe some weird western stuff.
Look forward to reading the 4th and final book, The Labyrinth of the Spirits, in The Cemetery of Forgotten Books series by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
Keelie wrote: "I'll be re-reading the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark trilogy and a local "Maritime Mysteries" book."I read the first one yesterday! :)
Right now I am reading Where the Summer Ends: The Best Horror Stories of Karl Edward Wagner, Volume One.
