Android floats between 65 and 85% of the market share. I have an idea. Lets continue to only improve the iOS app and ignore the Android!

Waiting on Android version...I've heard so many people say the iOS is perfect (I won't go near Apple products with a barge pole as they're nothing but overpriced tat imho) but shouldn't all operating systems have the same app functionality and features?
This is nothing but favouritism on Goodreads/Amazon's part that the Goodreads Andoid app is crap while the iOS one is perfect.
I hardly use the app I use the web and mobile web versions instead. The app has become nothing but a glorified update notification system for me in the hope that it'll one day equal the quality of the iOS one and that the Windows Phones will eventually get an app full stop.
I wish you guys would improve your recommendation algorithms, because they are so bad in my experience that it's not even funny.
I'd love a night mode for the website and for the Android app, and also these updates to be available on Android when if I want to do anything of value I have to go to the mobile website, which defeats the point of having a mobile app to start with.
I'm looking forward to seeing the updates for the Android App - don't get me wrong, it's not all that bad, but I think it could use some improvements ^_^ glad to hear they are working on it . Benjamin wrote: "Is Goodreads available via Google Play?"
Yes, you can download the app to your phone from there.
Courtney wrote: "I'd love to be able to indicate on the app whether I own a book or not when marking it read/writing a review. Please add this ability to the app!"We'd recommend creating a "owned" shelf. You can then add your books as "Read" and "owned"
To do this, visit the desktop site and click on edit shelves from the homepage or from my books, and create a shelf using the "add a shelf" dialogue at the bottom of the page.
Sandra wrote: "Why is it not possible to purchase a book via Goodreads on my IOS new App?"Unfortunately, buy links aren't currently available in the iOS app. We'll be sure to keep you updated, should we add these in the future.
Aqua wrote: "Another feature that is needed is the ability to brows the whole series & seeing the numbering of each book within that series"
On Android, if you tap on the series name under the book's details this will take you to the series page, with the books listed in order.

This update shouldn't prevent Goodreads from working on your Kindle. Can you please reach out to us with your device info (support at goodreads dot com) – we'd be happy to troubleshoot with you!
I miss my iphone because apps tends to be better on iOS. since I have an android phone now, I normally just use the web browser for Goodreads, since the app is HORRID!! I doubt it will improve since it hasn't really for years.
How do I get rid of this advert on top of my feed??? It's completely irrelevant since I own an Android device. Plus these blog posts really do not need to forced on your users!!
MORE THAN 80% OF THE SMARTPHONES IN THE MARKET RUN ANDROID.Yet your priority is updating the app for crApple devices and, on top of that, spamming the front page with a non-removable advertise to that update for iSh*ts?
I mean...This is just insulting. It's bad enough you're completely ignorant about smartphone reality worldwide, but to spam the MAJORITY of users with this on top of that...

For the love of god STOP FORCING BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS ON US! If you can't resist forcing this on us then at least make it optional for people who ALREADY do an excellent job finding more and more well-suited books for ourselves than we can read in a lifetime. Leave us introverts ALONE AND stop using Goodreads as a marketing tool. That's not why we re on here.
Please fix the notifications issue, I am getting spam notifications to "start a conversation" every time I log a finished book and it literally drove me so crazy, I spent HOURS, literally HOURS trying to get rid of it but could not. please fix it ASAP.
How do filter my searches? How do i search for lists? How do I search inside genres? How do discover new books outside of your “popular” lists of crap I have already read or have no intentions of reading. This app took away access to all the features I actually use.
Hi, guys, The Apple IOS Apps is support for the apple store for free download apps to use for these people. it is the best working for the Apple iPhone. so guys if any issues regarding the Apple iPhone screen touching errors and setting problem solve with Apple Customer Support in 24*7 hours.
It would be great if this update reflects in android platform as well. You have to focus on all sorts of users worldwide. People who love reading loves goodreads and definitely install the app in their smartphones. So, there may be iOS and android users. Providing updates for iOS only seems like discouraging the users of android app. It would be great if you consider everyone the same by offering them useful features.
