Nothing about me is
ready.
The stammer of my heart,
my shaking breath,
even the tremor of my hands.
I am not.
But I look around:
I don’t see
what I need to see.
My world is filled
with half truths
and poorly designed delusions.
I am done:
with lying to myself,
to everyone around me.
Here we go.
I am
ready.
