City of Bones is the first installment of The Mortal Instruments series written by Cassandra Clare. This is literally a saga and I was hesitant in picking it up because that would mean a good break from other books, but I had to read it because it is one of the most popular young adult series under the paranormal category and after the Goodreads award, I had to read it.
