Russell Brand has strong arguments against Stephen Fry’s points about religion. I respect both points of view and can see both sides.
It seems to me that religion and science are both wrong. Religions believe in a personal God (usually a man in the sky with a beard), and scientists seem to believe everything is randomness that just pops into existence out of nothing and for no real reason or without any purpose. I believe both preconceptions are implausible. If there is more than nothing, then there must be a cause; I suggest maybe this cause is not a limited thing, in which case it is infinite (the polar opposite of nothing, which is why there is something more than nothing). To quote from “The God Notion” …”Infinity is something that is inconceivable, but split into finite parts it becomes something conceivable. …To put it in spiritual terms: God cannot know himself as “everything”, but only as a myriad of ‘determined things’ created within this everything.”
