Guide to Vlad Men Companion Pieces

Vlad Men was originally published in five serialized installments. In-between these installments, I posted companion pieces that focused on some of the actual people and events referred to the story. For example, Yuri Gagarin’s voyage into space in 1961 and the 1966 Sinyavsky-Daniel Trial are repeatedly featured throughout the book. Because of their larger significance, I thought some additional historical information would be an interesting compliment to a work of fiction. This includes photographs, artwork, posters, documentary videos, and excerpts from banned Soviet literature.
