Game of Thrones Speculation

Greetings from the frozen tundra of the Jersey Pinelands. This may seem like “normal” to my friends and readers in the Midwest or Canada, but we are not accustomed to temperatures that might a polar bear pause. I hope everyone in the path of this polar vortex kept safe and warm this weekend. Looking ahead to April, although it seems light-years away today, here is some speculation about the coming season of Game of Thrones. We readers of the series are going to be at a disadvantage this season, for we will no longer know what is coming. And that is not a good thing for those of us with delicate sensibilities—Red Wedding, anyone? Now we are all in the same leaky boat, having no idea what Master Martin and the HBO scriptwriters will inflict upon their long-suffering characters next. http://www.ew.com/article/2016/02/12/...

Ivana The HBO show at this point has very little to do with Martin's books, as season 5 has amply demonstrated. Martin himself has pointed that out last year when he said that there will be many shocking twists and deaths that will happen in the rest of the show that will not happen in the books. He's also saying that "books are books and show is show" all the time and stressing that they are two different canons.

RJay Can't wait to find out how Sensa and Reek make out. Odd couple for sure.

Ivana Certainly very odd in every sense. Including in the sense that that entire storyline didn't make any sense on any level.

I can't wait for The Winds of Winter to read what happens to the real Sansa and the real Theon and to Jeyne.

I have to agree. They could have done so much more with the Sansa situation, for instance she marries Ramsay with no plan B & no way to escape. Littlefinger talks about 'vengeance' and Sansa never asks a single question about how to attain this 'vengeance'...it was as if she learnt nothing from her time with psycho Joffrey.

Why didn't they have some northern Lords at Sansa's wedding to Ramsay and then have Sansa figure out who is who & manipulate the lords to her side, this is where they could have included The Great Northern Conspiracy....But in Sophie Turner has said that this is Sansa's Season where she'll earn respect'....I hope she's right & that's it't not just all hype.....

But there is a certain level of excitement as we all enter unknown territory & I'm looking forward to Season 6....

PS: I thought I read that Dan n Dave said that they will kill off the characters that die in the books, though they may change the way they die...but I could be wrong......
