Natalie I recently started my weight loss journey, started january at 216 pounds which is a heck of a ton since I'm only 17-to-be-18 years old. I have struggled with obesity my entire life, and the bad thing? I was getting more comfortable in a bubble where no one (and I mean no one, not even my family, ESPECIALLY MY FAMILY) could comment on my problem, because it was seem as 'judgemental' and 'hateful', and everytime someone outside my circle said something about it I would get freaking depressed for a whole week and then I'll forgive and forget and everything would be good again in my bubble. Just finished past week in 194 pounds and I have never felt more proud of myself, I've used the same method you're planning on (only I have cut sugars and junk food from the root) and it has worked on my marvelously. I'm really pumped to follow your journey because you really are a great human being and it's awesome to see people decide to be more healthy.

Tina Highly recommend MyFitnessPal for tracking your calories, 202 days and counting for me. It syncs with your Fitbit too!

Down 31 lbs since August :) and that's eating what I want, just in moderation. Still drinking Diet Pepsi, still eating snack food and CARBS. It's about being mindful and making smarter choices, not depriving yourself!

I have never been overweight, but I'm human, I struggle with body issues. My main focus is to be able to look into the mirror without hating what I see. I know that everyone is beautiful, but I wish I could say that about myself. Anyway, I found that I was getting bored with my workouts, so I learned to change them up. I sit at a desk all day,at work or Im laid back studying in bed. What I try to do is incorporate workouts at those places-kill two birds with one stone. Leg lifts at the desk, hip raises in bed. There are apps such as blogilates, and fitness blender that have videos that you can work out to. I'm a student, so I don't have extra money for the gym, but those apps make you feel as if you are working out with them, and they challenge you based on your fitness level. :)
You are going to do amazing. The hardest step is often the first one.

Carmen I recently decided to get serious about my health and fitness as well. I purchased a FitBit 2 weeks ago to help motivate me along the way. Let's all conquer this together!
