Writing Is A Dangerous Profession

Danielle’s quote is very true. For this reason, when you first start writing, you may not want to share your writing with anyone: 1st because they might not see the universal truth in the story, and 2nd because they might see it and disagree.

Those are the chances we must take as writers. People get angry at us for telling them what they don’t want to accept as truth.

For this reason, I can’t help but laugh at the many men (yes, so far, they’ve all been men) who say they don’t read fiction because they only read things that are true. The truth in fiction is so much more profound than the single truth of one person.

Don’t get me wrong, though, I am also a huge fan of memoir! ;-)

Thanks, Writer, for sharing this so that I could share it too! ;-)

Peace, love & great writing for all,

Sherrie

Sherrie Miranda's historically based, coming of age, Adventure novel “Secrets & Lies in El Salvador” is about an American girl in war-torn El Salvador:

Her husband made a video for her novel. He wrote the song too. You can see it on YouTube under the same title. Or find a link on one of my other posts.
