dude was tortured and brainwashed for like 60 years. is he supposed to be upbeat and perky? he’s coping with extreme trauma he’s not being “mopey.”

Someone pointed this out and I totally admit it’s a fair point. 

I was actually thinking more about the attraction that people declare for him, which is a whole ‘nother topic.
