Who’s Running Your Day?

fitness and health

It’s Sunday! A great day to prep for the coming week, to set yourself up for success. Yes it’s Super Bowl Sunday and we are having a party as well, but that’s not until tonight. Pre-cook some meals, get some healthy snacks ready for the week.

Write down what you want to accomplish in the gym. Making goals is key to your success. If you go into the week blindly and say “we’ll see how it goes” chances are nothing will happen. You will hit next weekend with no change, and so the cycle will continue.

Stretch yourself, mentally and physically, don’t just do what feels good. As a society as a whole we’ve become so used to finding the easy way out. Find the hard way out.

Mentally prepare yourself. Just as you have to feed yourself the proper nutrition to fuel yourself, you need to feed your brain. Read motivational books, read fitness books. Not pansy butt books that are going to make you feel good about yourself right where you are at. No! Books that will push you to your limits. If reading isn’t your thing…make it your thing.

Reading and learning is one of the best ways to become a better person. Get Audible, listen to a book when you are in the car, instead of blaring your music. Don’t have the money? Get to your library (yes those places where you can rent books for free). I go to the library all the time and get audio books, because with my job I’m in my vehicle a lot.

Push yourself, stretch yourself, get out of your comfort zone, it’s the only way you are going to grow mentally and physically.
