If they lied about 9/11, WMDs in Iraq, Vietnam etc could everything we think we know about WWII also be a lie - how deep is this rabbit hole
Now here's the thing - Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie Sanders - the dream ticket for the left.
Both are cut from the same cloth, both are socialists and both are attacked from all quarters of the political spectrum. Both are under a constant barrage of character assassination in the media and from so called political elites. Clearly the 1% does not want them to succeed but equally clearly they are the choice of a large proportion of the 99%.
Let's look for comparisons in history - obviously at the top of the list we find Jesus, a socialist by anyone's standards.
He wanted to bring an end to usury; now the practice of making unethical or immoral monetary loans that unfairly enrich the lender, in Jesus' time simply the practice of making profit out lending to others, less fortunate.
He wanted to feed the poor, and suggested that rich men might not achieve the Kingdom of Heaven.
Neither of these things was likely to endear him to prosperous Jews of the day.
The Jewish leaders had him crucified and have slandered his name ever since and the Romans persecuted his followers.
It wasn't until Roman Emperor Constantine [306-337 A.D.], 270 years after the death of Christ, that Jesus started getting a good press.
However the Jews have never accepted him or Christianity.
Moving on through the centuries you find notable revolutionaries from all societies - easy examples would be those whose objections lead to revolutions - like the Levellers and the Planters in England, Oliver Cromwell although he did represent his own wealthy class, the American Revolutionaries although their leaders did also have an eye on power for themselves, the French Revolutionaries and Napoleon.
In the 1800s Europe was full of revolutionaries all trying to rouse the will of the people, often to no avail, and so it went on through to the Russian Revolution.
Then we come to the German revolution and National Socialism - decried as the most evil of all revolutions.
We are told that Hitler wanted revenge for the German defeat in WWI and that he ultimately intended to conquer the entire world.
We are told that he either had an inexplicable hatred for the Jews or he merely used hatred of them to unite the German people behind him so that he could fulfil his plans.
We are told that the Nazis were evil fascists who imprisoned the innocent and murdered without compunction, that they were the most evil of all racists and that they perfected murder on an industrial scale.
We are told that Hitler issued verbal orders to his closest aides and that they then passed these on via euphemisms such as 'final solution', or 'evacuation' but that these really meant extermination and murder.
We are told that when they retreated from the allies the Nazis destroyed all the gas chambers and any evidence of their crimes, the deceased having been long since cremated.
We are told that those emaciated figures found in the concentration camps were deliberately starved by the Germans, a crime which received swift and immediate justice from the liberating forces; prison guards summarily executed.
This is what we are taught in school, and shown on TV, in the cinema, in museums, by our elected political leaders, by the political Left, Centre and Right.
However
We are not told that Hitler introduced better working conditions for the workers at a time when British Tories and Whigs were forcing long hours for low pay on our workers and were sending in the army to beat up the miners.
We are not told that he introduced better housing at a time when Brits lived in perpetual squalor.
We are not told that he ordered the design of an easily affordable peoples car - the VW beetle
We are not told that he ordered cheap cruises for workers through the 'strength through joy' programme [incidentally these ships were refused permission to dock in British ports for fear they would stir up the masses].
We are not told that he fixed a minimum wage and a maximum wage, reduced working hours, introduced proper canteens and changing rooms in factories.
We are not told that he introduced health care before the war, and the first protection for animals and put in place restrictions on hunting.
We are not told that he introduced a better education system.
We are not told that he said that money should only be earned from labour and not the labour of others or investment in the labour of others.
We are not told that he reduced unemployment from several million to almost zero before the war broke out.
We are not told that Hitler was on the left, not the right; a socialist not a fascist.
We are not told that the National Socialist party was exactly that; a Socialist party based along national lines. The policies introduced were Socialist but, because he was also a nationalist, Hitler put Germans first.
NOTE: Many of the above listed National Socialist policies have been introduced in European countries, many at the behest of the EU.
We are also not told that:
In the 1930s the whole world was racist. Great Britain, USA, Russia and France all had empires in which there were subservient races.
Germany no longer had an empire because the allies had seized it at the end of WWI and shared it out.
Great Britain, USA, Russia and France had been responsible for crimes against humanity in their empires: - the genocide of the American Indian, the savage hacking off of limbs in Belgium controlled Congo, the original concentration camps in the Boer war where a third of all Boer women and children died of typhus, the massacre of indigenous populations in all of the empires.
None of these can be placed at Hitler's door but all had occurred within his lifetime.
We are also not told that:
Hitler did not start WWII. The Poles took heart when told by Britain that if attacked by Germany she would be defended, to such an extent that they threatened Germany and made unreasonable demands.
Polish leaders drafted plans for the territory they would claim from Germany when she was defeated by the British and French in the coming war.
When provoked beyond reason the Germans attacked Poland and Britain and France declared war. However, they did not move to protect Poland nor did they act when Poland was invaded by Russia.
Eventually the war proper started but it was not to protect Poland.
We are not told that:
Before the war that there was no suggestion of a plan for the Jews other than to deport them to a new Jewish homeland i.e. Palestine.
We are not told that:
The concentration camps in Germany were slave labour camps, not murder camps and that the spread of typhus had been the result of the relentless allied bombing campaign that prevented stocks of Zyklon B (DDT type pesticide) from reaching the camps.
We are not told that:
The British army in South Africa faced the same problem when typhus killed thousands of Boer women and children incarcerated in the British invented concentration camps.
We are not told that:
After the war and the liberation of the lice and typhus infested work camps where thousands of emaciated bodies and starving Jews were found was when the concept of a deliberate policy to exterminate the Jews was first given credence.
In their initial revulsion the liberating troops carried out summary executions of the camp guards saving the officers for execution after the Nuremberg trials.
We are not told that:
There is no physical evidence to support the concept of gas chambers. Those at Auschwitz are mock ups of what a gas chamber was thought to have looked like. There is evidence of a theatre, football pitch and a swimming pool within the prisoner compound.
There is nothing left of the Treblinka camp and no suitable foundation of a gas chamber has been identified.
It is not well known that:
The figure of those who died at Auschwitz has been revised to 1 million, from a previous claim of 4 million.
We are not told that:
Churchill described National Socialism as the greatest evil on earth.
He hated Hitler and National Socialism, why?
If National Socialism spread as a political doctrine, in particular if the concept of money being earned from labour and not the labour of others or investment in the labour of others and the maximum wage were to be taken up in Britain it would mean the end of the way of life of the wealthy and the end of the Empire.
We are not told that:
Churchill pursued the war after Dunkirk not because of the Jews, not because of Poland but to destroy National Socialism because it liberated the people at the same time as retaining national identity.
