He thinks I’m his forever girl, I saw it in his eyes. I wished I could have slapped the look off his face and hit him with the same jarring finality I’d learned I didn’t mean shit.

I’m not a forever sort of girl.

I’m not even his for the night.

He’ll be lucky if I’m his for the next hour if he doesn’t pay me for it.

And then Royce Mattherson stormed my defenses. Took all the poison inside of me and pushed it out through my pores. He tasted the taint on my skin and still decided to love me. He terrifies me. Exhilarates me. Frustrates me.

And he always gets what he wants

Always

Am I up first….GREAT! (sarcasm abounds)

1) Do you have a nickname? Or did you ever want a nickname?

Unfortunately, yes. I’ve had two in my life, one I loved and one that made me cringe when I heard it as a grown woman LOL. When I was a kid my uncle called me Newy Lou, a play of my last name, Newton. It, thankfully, took over Booby (from my mother). My second nickname stuck with me all through life. It’s Hazel, because of my eyes. Only problem, of course, was that there were people that didn’t know what my real name was LeTeisha. My dad HATED that when they called me and asked for Hazel while I was growing up.

2) Favorite hobbies when you were a teenager?

Got to say it was reading and gaming. I was a serious bookworm and nerd. If it was a fantasy novel or an RPG I was there. From Carey to Tolkien, or Feehan and Showalter, I was reading it. If it had anything to do with Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts I was addicted to playing it. Wait…I still do that. So, yeah LOL. Major nerd over here. Oh, that an Anime. I love Anime.

3) Favorite movie(s) that you could watch on repeat?

A lot of people don’t seem to remember The Fifth Element starring Gary Oldman, Bruce Willis, Mila Jovovich, and Chris Tucker. It was a Fantasy/Sci-Fi movie that I watched on serious repeat for years. I still can watch that movie at anytime, anyplace, and I don’t apologize for it.

4) What did teachers write as your “needs improvement?”

I was one of those students that everything came easy for. I was an International Baccalaureate (#IBProblmes!) that didn’t have to study ever. So, my problem was procrastination. Why do the 5 page paper early when I could write it in no time the day it was due? Come on, college was a breeze after IB. Seriously.

 5) When did you know that writing was the career you wanted?

I knew that in high school. I kept writing books in these spiral notebooks, and my mom gave me an old computer to type out what I wrote when I was ready. I loved creating stories, and everyone in my class would steal my notebooks to read in class. It was a game at how many people would like my story by the end of the day when I finally got my book back.

Kissedbyawarrior-customdesign-Jayaheer2015-3Drender (1) Kissed by a Warrior

Kissed By A Warrior is a romantic adventure set in post-modern Japan, where the criminal elements compete for the allegiance of a particular warrior, Kenzo Tenaka, because of his special gift.

Ken vows to protect his family and his true love, Nyah Reyes. But he must learn to navigate within the strict order of the clans or face the consequences of their displeasure.

As danger looms, Ken is forced to choose between duty or love. However, Nyah refuses to lose her warrior to ancient customs and clansmen’s whims.  Will they become a united front and face war or go their separate ways to maintain peace?

1) What pet name does your family call you?

Some members of my family call me Mich, but if an acquaintance or stranger randomly shortened my name, I’d probably get an eye twitch.

2) What was your favorite show as a kid?

Charlie’s Angels – I liked Jaclyn Smith and her character – Kelly Garrett.

3) What movie song do you know ever word to?

Any song in Sound of Music or Grease. I even know the dance steps.

4) Who was your first crush?

Crush in high school…? Heck, I can’t remember any names. As far as celebrity crush, well, I’m learning pretty quick that icons are crashing and burning. So I’ll just say that I don’t have any crushes.

5) Did your mother say your whole name when you were in trouble?

No. She only needed to say my first name for me to know, in that special tone, that I’d done something wrong.
