The other day I was coaching a client when she began to complain. “My husband is plain lazy. He just can’t hold down a job. I just need to face the facts—we’ll always be broke.”

I had to stop her right there. She was giving me the facts. She was reporting her circumstances, but she didn’t realize the power of her words. Do you?
