Prayer Request

A reader writes:

Please pray for the Elliot family. Their "matriarch", if you will, is in her last days. She's truly a saint -- you could tell because she would become visibly upset if anyone even implied as much in her presence --and I suspect she'll will bypass purgatory entirely, but her large and adoring family and circle of friends will miss her sorely (me included!).

Father, hear our prayer for the Elliot family and especially for Mom. Grant her the grace of a happy death through Christ our Lord and entry into the Regions of Light in the company of Mary and all the saints. Grant grace, peace, strenghth and consolation to her family and skill and compassion to her caregivers. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for the Elliots and all who love them. Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
