Blogging update 2 (business)
I hope regular readers are enjoying my sojourn into the world of online business. My apologies for readers who bounce onto the blog when I have just published entries, as they are often quite rough when I first put them out, but since I am completing a course every day, whilst continuing on heavier courses, and I have a heavy workload at the moment, I am in rather a hurry and it often takes me a few hours to come back and tidy up the rough bits. Suffice to say, if you think it looks a bit tatty, come back in twelve hours or so for the cleaned up version. I realise this is less than ideal, but I am trying to put the information together at some speed.
I will probably put the sections together in yet another free book once I have completed all relevant sections. As the information is designed to help start ups and individuals, rather than time poor, cash rich businesses, I hope this will encourage people to take matters into their own hands on at least a part time basis. It is helpful to have the vocabulary to get the best out of your budget either way. You can thank Wolfe for this, since one of the first things I noticed about his business model was the absence of a coherent strategy in terms of administration. He is somewhat guilty of trusting other people to competently do what he should have a handle on managing himself. Tough at the top, eh David?
Anyway, this is only one of several strands I am pursuing at the moment, on my way to the next stage of the project, which is going to be rather interesting. It is a fairly new concept, that I believe I am in a unique position of being able to pull off successfully, as a rather eccentric polymath. We shall see if I can persuade Twisty of the sense of urgency about getting this side of things underway, since liberating him is a major feature of the plan.
A rather irritating feature of this new branch is the idea of building a brand when I am deeply anti-brand. No fun without a paradox. I note from one of the courses, that the hippies are still using the old CND sign, whilst I have adopted the ‘Nazi/right wing version.’ There is no error here, I decided to reclaim the diversity/anti-harmony rune as I fear homogeneity rather more than I fear being different. I think being different is something that should be encouraged.
As my frictional fondness for Wolfe demonstrates, there is no progress without confrontation.
