Feint

Feint

<faynt>

hoax; trick; bluff;

to deceive someone by pretending to do something.

The player did a feint to the left and ran to the right. He made his opponent trip.

Memory trick:
feint reminds of faint or to become dizzy.
we faint when we are tricked.

At work:
The realtor fell for the feint that we did not want the office. We pretended to not want it so we could get a better price.
