This week's big news was my tongue-in-cheek explanation of why Borders went bankrupt–except that as usual, some folks didn't get the joke, so it turned into a conspiracy theory about horror cabals, and Bloodletting Press's Larry Roberts revealed his Illuminati tattoo. We also marked the ten-year anniversary of Richard Laymon's passing and debuted the trailer for John Skipp's Rose. Then Nick Mamatas and I chatted about our forthcoming novel The Damned Highway. We got a sneak peek at Portents, and as a result, we broke Al Sarrantonio's email account. As convention season begins, I posted my schedule for Wondercon and also started working on the literary programming track for this year's Horrorfind Weekend. As if that wasn't enough content for one week, we also unveiled this nifty, free book soundtrack for Urban Gothic and took a walk around the internet to find interesting things you should read.
