jay jackley Artistic changes to make it better TV material has worked. I'm no die hard fan but I have read all the books and I'm from the authors home town. I love the series and I pretty much have forgotten about the storyline in the books and I am enjoying the product on it's own merits. Well done!!!! Go Warriors

Renee I too am surprised that I enjoy the series as much as I do. I am a HUGE fan of the Brooks but it too has been a long time since I read the books. I remember the story though. It is nice to see the characters come to human or elf life in this series. I am a fan and will be watching every single episode until the series is done. It is fantastic!!!

message 3: by Marian (new)

Marian I just finished rereading the books. The series does deviate some, but the amount of material in the books is far too much to bring to the screen,
I have a little problem with Wil Olmstead. In the book, he has been at Stors for two years and to me exhibits more self-confidence than being portrayed on the screen.
I love the look of Arborlon. And the costumes are wonderful. To me, though, Eretria should have brighter clothes or at least bright scarves, as described in the book.
