It took me a long time to get over you. Which is funny since we only lasted for four months. But my love for you could last an eternity. Because what is the basis of love? It didn't matter whether we knew each other for years and forgot what we had in just days. Love knows no time. Maybe that's why they have the saying "Love conquers all" because not even time could control it.

I fell in love with you in a day and grieved for you for years. But I could see right through you, how you used me like a drug but it felt as though I was the addict. How when we both fell apart, you walked out that door relieved and I was left to force myself to go on, to move forward. Loving you was hard to put in words, it was like heaven right smack in the middle of hell. I could feel you slipping from my fingers. No matter how hard I tried to hold on, you'd find a way to let go. Oh how love blinds us to see reason, to see the other person's hardships, and be entirely numb to feel anything.
