I’m gonna start off today’s Regularity by talking about MattConley’s recommendation HERE. I know lots of people did recommendations beside our Community Director, but he’s our Community Director for a reason. Anyone can shoot their own Regularity video and CONTRIBUTE IT HERE.

So, Matt’s talking about thatwasnotveryravenofyou’s “Short Story Collection” project where people can write not just finished short stories, but also concepts for short stories. I like this idea of just contributing concepts cause I think that kind of seed can lead to good things.

One of the concepts I thought was interesting was “Utopia” by Presdretion. I really like utopian sci-fi and it’s true that almost all sci-fi, especially popular sci-fi nowadays is dystopian not utopian, meaning it’s about a terrible future not a good future.

I wrote an idea called “Future Tech” saying something similar to Presdretion’s concept. It seems like the only popular sci-fi that’s more utopian is Star Trek. What else is there that’s positive? I think that’s something really cool to try. So, Illustrators, draw some kind of cool situation between humans and machines. Writers, write some ideas and CONTRIBUTE THEM HERE.

I’m really interested in hearing ideas that are either utopian or dystopian, but I’ll just leave it there for now.

Thanks again

J
