Hello, I bought one of your Small Drawings books (cover is woods with a fox on a motorcycle) at MICE last fall. And I'm just wondering if you could tell me about your materials and process. Specifically what paper (watercolor? bristol board?) and utensils

Hey Geoff, thanks. Can I say right off the bat that materials don’t matter very much! All materials are good for is ensuring a predictable outcome, so let the materials you choose suit the mark you want to make. End of story!

Epilogue: I draw very small, more or less exclusively with a Hunt 108 nib and a Tachikawa T-77 nib, and Dr Ph Martin’s Black Star matte ink. And on Strathmore 500 bristol board.
