I hope you are all doing well so far in 2016. January is flying by. I thought I’d take this week to answer a few more of the questions you sent into me a while back.
Millie asked: My question is, how easy do you find it trying to meet deadlines for your books to be out? How do you know when it is time to bring a new character into one of your books?
First of all, I am very deadline driven. My publisher expects me to deliver my books on time. After all, this is my job, so it’s just like meeting a deadline in any other job. However, I did find myself missing my deadline for Eternal, but only because y hubby had a kidney transplant and my life got pretty crazy for a while.
As for a new character in my books? Well, they kind of just show up. I’ll be writing along and a character appears and nags me to put them in my story.
Yvonne asked: And a question about Shadow Falls: are you going to write anymore books for Shadow Falls after Della’s story is done? Your books are so awesome and I’ve fallen in love with the characters I don’t the story to end!
Thanks, Yvonne. Yes! I am currently writing Miranda’s novel, and it should be out later this year, probably in October. Right now it is only planned to be one book, but you never know.
Kylie asked: Are you ever going to write more about Kylie?
Sorry, but I don’t have any plans to write another Kylie book.
Lean asked: Are you planning on writing a novella (probably a book) from Lucas and Derek’s point of view? Is there any possible chance that Turned at Dark and Saved at Sunrise will be published in paperback?
Sorry, but I don’t have any plans for a Lucas or Derek novella at this time. And yes, ALL of my novellas plus a previously unpublished novella about Fredericka, will be published in print. The book is called Almost Midnight, and it will be released Feb. 2nd (see last week’s blog for more details.)
