So I thought since I have interviewed hundreds of authors over the years on this blog, that you would enjoy hearing me answer some of the questions I have posed to them over the years.

What genre are your books?

I write in two different genres now, both Suspense Thrillers and Romantic Suspense.

I started out writing mysteries with the psychological twist to them and spent a good many years running around Lake City with Stan and Jane. I have pitted my heroes I loved and still love every moment I spend with them but I wanted to try something a little different.

So I started out ready to write myself a nice ooey gooey love story. One full of sap and lots of happy ending tears. Then something happened. I killed off someone. I don’t even remember the character or the plot to be honest. I quickly canned the story and decided to start again another time.

Months passed and I tried it again. Same thing happened, another person died.

After the third time around I realized that no matter what I wrote someone had to die. So I went back to my roots and wrote the suspense around the love story and the first in the Den of Thieves series was born.
