Introducing my 2016 Sundance Film Festival actor client Adam Tsekhman – www.adamtsekhman.com
Adam was born and raised in Winnipeg and Toronto. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business and holds an MFA in Theatre Acting from Columbia University.
After graduating from Columbia, Adam landed a lead role on the Russian Television sensation Zona (“The Russian Oz”) and was nominated for best lead actor in a series at the Monte Carlo International Television Festival.
After sadly losing to Kiefer Sutherland for 24, Adam moved to Los Angeles where he has been working in television and film, mostly as a terrorist…sometimes as a dork…and recently a hipster. Some of his TV credits include The Mentalist, NCIS: Los Angeles, How I Met Your Mother, You’re the Worst, Rizzoli and Isles, Flash Forward, and 24.
Most recently, Adam played the lead in the feature Tsili, which was directed by acclaimed Israeli director Amos Gitai. Tsili made its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival where it wowed audiences. The film was shot mostly in Yiddish, which Adam learned for the part.
As a writer, Adam has co-written two sitcom pilots, Comrades and Americanistan. Both pilots were shot and are in development.
