Uprooted Had a Great Year In 2015

US Edition

US Edition

Uprooted by Naomi Novik had a great 2015!

First, it was well-received by readers. You guys loved it, shared it with your friends and family, and made it one of the most successful books during the year. It was optioned for a movie by Ellen DeGeneres.

At the end of 2015, many websites included Uprooted in their best of the year lists!

Here are some of those lists:

Fantasy-Faction’s Best Fantasy Novel of 2015 Award
LitHub’s The 25 Best Books of the Year
Library Journal: Best SF/Fantasy of 2015
The 32 Best Fantasy Books of 2015
NPR’s Book Concierge
Tor’s Best Books of the Year
Publishers Weekly: Best Books of 2015
Amazon’s Best Books of 2015

If you haven’t read Uprooted, definitely do so! It’s a great novel and worthy of all its attention.

Cheers!

Shawn

There still isn't one? Weird. We have a Polish version. You guys usually don't have to wait longer than us.

Elwen @Naomi: Good news :-)) Can't wait!

Erika What about Italian? I love your books, but except for the first 3 Temeraire's books, nothing else was ever translated into Italian. I can, and I did, read in English, but Uprooted required all my concentration to understand it properly. In other words, reading it in my language would have been much more pleasurable. Do you think there's any chance we can get your books in Italian?

Shima Thank you so much for writing Uprooted. It had been some time since I had last found a favorite book.

Lucieloukim Congrats!

What about a French version of Uprooted?
I really want to read it but I've no time for reading in english these days... (if it could be out for this summer it would be perfect!)

Barbara I loved this book so much, and I'm so happy to have a signed HC of it sitting on my favorite fantasy shelf. :D

Candice Opper I loved this book, so much! I also absolutely loved meeting you at C2E2 (even if I fanned all over the place and forgot my favorite dragon's name)

Sarah Click I purchased this book on my Nook and I loved it so very much that I asked for the hard bound copy for Christmas. I don't think I've ever been so happy to have a beautiful copy of a book. This is one of those tales that will resonate through the ages in my opinion. Exquisitely done!

Hey, who is the publisher ? Id like to order it for my bookstore but i mustve missed it in one of the hundreads of catalogs....

EDIT: pls no movie. It would destroy all the magic of the imagination, which is the point of the fantasy genre in the first place. Also books > movie
