Tchaikovsky On Depression And Finding Beauty Amid The Wreckage Of The Soul

I have always believed that in order to feel life’s highs, we have to also accept life’s lows. There is no other way for this to happen. But getting high on life’s highs & lows is the only way to truly live. Otherwise you just have to dull the pain with alcohol or other drugs, or food or sex. That’s not living; that’s just existing.
