Hal checks in with the home crowd on Earth, and in Coast City this issue. Several things usually happen when he does this. First, he finds things have changed. Second, his family still cares about him. Third, despite that, he doesn’t fit in anymore. Fourth, a major villain shows up and creates havoc. All those things happen here, but despite the predictability, it’s not a bad issue. At least this time Hal does look and act as if he’s been through changes himself, so the alienation seems more valid. I prefer that to it seeming like he never left.
