I’ve noticed the same thing. Trouble is every time…

Yes, it’s a weak tactic of deflecting from the main issue (that Mary is, to put is as an extreme understatement, highly problematic) and turning the blame on the people who have the “nerve” to call out a professional murder for doing what she does - murdering, or trying to murder the main character. And yet this post, as with several of my other discussions of Mary, focuses not even on her heinous professional choices, but on the small, petty, nasty-minded day-to-day choices that really show (me, at least) that she is a truly horrible person. They also like to attack people who call Mary out with the very shaky argument that “Sherlock is even worse”. Sometimes I think that these people forget that this show is actually about Sherlock (it’s not called “Mary” (or better, “A.G.R.A.”), after all!) and his development from being a great man into a good one. It’s about him. Yes, he’s behaved badly. But you know what he hasn’t done? Gone into killing for pay. That’s a pretty large distinction, but that’s just me… :P
